Hi Peeps!!

I am back with another DT post for Stamp-n-Doodle, wherein the current challenge is  'Fabulous Folds'

The prize is a chance to grab one of Lauren Curtis' Stamps from Stamp-n-Doodle's Digi Stamps and also to grab top- 3 badges!! Do view the amazing DT entries out there and play along with your fabulous folds creations :)

For my project, i have made a first time attempt in creating a Tri fold card as below

The view of the card when placed on a horizontal surface is as below

The adorable image is "Cristian Fairies" from SND that i have coloured and adorned with flowers.

The background papers are all handmade and handpainted including the polka dots (hand-cut) which i have turned into flower centers.

And onto the center of the card, i have added the sentiment "Many Thanks"!!

Hope you peeps like my effort :)
And i really really appreciate you taking time to stop by my post and leaving me some love!!

Holaaaaaaaa Peeps!!

Hope you are all doing super fine!!

Today i bring to you, a hand painted card with watercolours!
All my creations in the past have always been hand-made and this is just an extension to it!!

This card is based on a "Holiday Theme" and i have incorporated a "Tropical Destination" back-ground to it with a sentiment - "Fun in the Sun" :))

Painting indeed is super fun and the joy it gives after the completion.. i have no words for it!!
I like the fun look of this card (Now now , this is self- praise i agree :)) )

A closer look of the trees which are done with a black marker

Closer look of the beachy effect as well

I have also incorporated faux stictching onto the card borders.

And since my card completely follows the current challenge at  4 CCC #117 - TROPICAL DESTINATION hosted by 4 Crafty Chicks, i am linking it up for the same :)

Looking forward to hear from you all

Cheers

Hola Peeps!!

ATCs??

I have always been wondering what these are.. Well these Artist Trading Cards.. are such a joy to create!!

Bringing in the intricacy into these small cut-outs, is really a big challenge and hats off to all the ATC creators!!

This is my first attempt on creating an ATC

I have hand-painted  and cut an adorable fairy ( mythical character) and have adorned the back-ground with a very very basic mixed media format!! Well i know.. this is no way matching up to it.. but it has just been an honest first time try on it!

Here's a closer look of the fairy!!

I have added dots (circles), stars and swirls in the background with silver to go with the fantasy world look and i have popped up the fairy for the 3D look as well :))

I have added the sentiment - "You are my Piece of Paradise" to go with the theme, in a leaf like cutout (which is also handpainted and popped up) onto which i have seated the fairy :))

I am happy with my first try and now onto you peeps, to let me know how you found this to be :)

Hi Peeps

Offlate CAS has been my favourite card making style and i am certainly loving it!!
The simplicity and the cuteness in a CAS card, i believe, speaks in length about the creativity, cleverness and the challenge to keep things at minimal!!

Well, i am still a learner to incorporate all the above adjectives though.. LOL :))

So,  my card for today is based on pastel shades based on a CAS Theme.

From another angle :))

My card consists of  "Paper Smooches" images including the sentiment (except the bird house that i have hand - drawn and carved into the card).

It is a small love story incorporated in this card.. the cute birdies singing for each other, one inside the house and the other one outside :)).
I have popped up all the images (which i have hand- painted) to give a 3D look and I have flipped few images for this card theme.

The sentiment is painted too and has been hung from the branch (via the pink twine). The border is hand-painted as well!

I really love this card and i hope you all too :))
Do post me your feedback and i shall be more than happy in reading and responding for the same!!

Hello Peeps!!

Hope you all are doing well!! And so am i :))

I am here today for my 2nd DT post for Stamp-n-Doodle. Wherein the current challenge is 'Lauren Curtis Spotlight - Anything Goes'

The Challenge is quite easy and all you need to do is complete a Card / Project that follows the Theme.  It can be anything remember for example, Cards Scrapbook Layouts, Boxes, Bags, Tags, 3D Creations and maybe even Jewellery. And the prize is a chance to grab one of Lauren Curtis' Stamps from Stamp-n-Doodle's Digi Stamps and also to grab top- 3 badges!!

For my project, i have made a jewellery box as below:

The box in a different angle:

The image atop the box is the - Celtic Knot from SND, that is designed by Lauren Curtis.
I wanted a kind - off monochromatic set up for the box, hence settled for an off-white and black combination.
The box is covered by black cardstock from my stash.
I have also adorned it with my favourite paper crafting technique, i.e., Quilling :)). I have added a different type of quilled flowers in the alternating colour combination on all the four sides of the box.

I have also added a hand-written sentiment - "Thank You" as an additional adornment onto the upcycled box.

I have turned this box into a "jewellery box" to store few of the many junk jewels that i own :).. so this is a gift from "ME" to "ME".. Thank you :)))

And Guess what???

For my project i have actually upcycled a box and turned it into a Jewellery Box. See below for the "before" and "After" images.

Hi Peeps

I have created another card yet inspired with one of the bestest forms of gratitude - "Thanks" !

Yet again, i wanted to create something which conveys the "Thanks" message by itself!

I have hand-cut a leaf, stuck it atop a "hand-painted" branch and have added a hand-cut and coloured - cute ladybug under it. ( Ain't it cute?? ;-) ).

It is supposedly raining and the "leaf" is acting as a "protection - roof" to the ladybug saving it from getting drenched under the rains (do observe the few droplets!!).. and ladybug is conveying  "Thanks" to the leaf :)

The sentiment "Thanks" is handwritten and have adorned it below with few red rhinestones.

A closer look at the "center story" ;-) and the "sentiment"

This card is dedicated to the in-numerous folks who have supported us directly and indirectly and have made our life happy :).

Hi Peeps

My card today is inspired with the bestest way of expressing gratitude that is "Thanks" :))

Keeping CAS theme in mind, i wanted to create something which conveys the "Thanks" message by itself!

When it comes to "conveying" thanks, the one person that i and everyone else would be thankful to is our "Mother".
And here's my card that i am linking up for the above mentioned Challenge !!

I have drawn and cut a kid's hand holding onto its mother's hand! "Mother" -> the BIGGEST life support system after Oxygen!! And i really really mean it!!

I have also added the handwritten "Thanks" Sentiment and have added "faux" stitching onto the card- borders!

This is a very very very small way of conveying my thanks to my dear mom! Love you and thanks a ton again for everything!

A closer view of the cut - out and the sentiment

Hi Peeps!!

"A stitch in time, saves nine!! " is a pretty famous proverb that almost all of us have heard atleast once in our lifetime.. LOL !! :))
Well, for now, i am just referring to the "stitch" word in this proverb ;-)

It is two "first"s this time -> Using stitching (hand - stitching) for the first time in my card and participating for the first time in the challenge - BGC #20 Sew Happy Stitching Challenge hosted by Beyond Grey Challenges! This challenge has been the inspiration for the creation of this card!

So here's my completely handmade card that i am linking up for the above Challenge!

I have hand cut the flowers and have coloured them with rather un-usual colour i.e, yellow amidst a green background.I have also added quilled triangles in green and yellow to the flower centers and to the background.

I have hand-stitched using the "running stitch" with a brown embroidery thread in all the below places in my card:
  • All the flower borders
  • Swirls in the background
And i must say hand-stitching on paper indeed requires lots of patience!
The sentiment - "Thanks" and the border is done using a faux - "running - stitch".

A closer view of the flower:

It is one small way of creating a bright card ( LOL ;) ) in this "oh-so-gloomy" weather.

And since I have overall used the "pineapple colours" and have adorned my card with "Quilled Triangles", i am linking this card for "first" time to the challenge Challenge #58 - Pineapples hosted by The Lollipop Ladies. This challenge has been equally an inspiration for the card colours and creation :))

  • CHALLENGE #40 - THANK YOU CARDS hosted by Crafting for All Seasons Challenge Blog

Hi Peeps!

Back again amidst hassles with the camera!!

My card is inspired by the Challenge Tuesday Trigger: Fantasy in Fall hosted by Moxie Fab world and below is the inspiration pic for the same!

The amazing bright flowers, further embellished by the colorful beads have inspired me enough to interpret the same in my card.

So here's my card:

I have added to my card a vase -> which is inspired by the backside brown branches and i have incorporated the same here in the form of the vase design.

I have interpreted the flowers in the form of quiled roses that i have hand- made out of "handmade" paper and added to the vase.

I have added the quilled coils to represent the colourful beads in the background! and have added the handwritten sentiment - "Thank You".

I am linking this card for the above mentioned Challenge!

Hi Peeps!!

Hope all is well with you!

Today i have created a card with my favourite paper crafting technique i.e., Quilling :)

My card is inspired by the challenge Week #18: ORANGE hosted by Casology!

"Orange" also happens to be one of my favourite colours and i am so glad to incorporate it as main theme in my project.
So here's my card that i am linking for the above challenge!

I have made a quilled Orange heart and have added the zig-zag folds atop it to give it a "locked- heart" kind of a look!

I have also added the handwritten sentiment to go with my quilled heart i.e., "You are Locked in my Heart Forever" :))

A closer look of the quilled heart is here!

Looking forward to hear your feedback!

Stay happy and take care! Until i see you next time!

Cheers,

Hi Peeps!!!

It is my dearest and bestest sister's birthday!!
So i am Super Duper Glad :))

And what best than "surprising" her by making something special for her with all my love.

My sister loves cakes/pastries and chocolates. So in addition to getting her a cake, i thought to make something that can be preserved..well.. atleast for sometime :)

And that is when i decided to make a 3d paper cake for her :)

So... Abracadabra..

Here it is.. My Surprise Gift to my sis aka my bestest buddy!!

In a 3d- View

Lovely aint it??? :))

As always, the entire project is hand-made :).

In the process, i "Upcycled" a Cardbook box and converted into a "Cake- Look Alike"  as below.. LOL :))

For the icing of the cake and the decoration, I have made quilled roses out of hand-made paper, not to forget the chocolate roses too :) and added quilled leaves.
Added my sister's name in "chocolate", and also filled in few hand cuts miniature hearts and butterfly.
To give the pastry look, have also added "chocolate" quilling strips in the base and added the hand written sentiment - Happy Birthday :)

So deary Sis, here's Wishing you a very very very veryyyyyy Happy birthday!! God Bless and have an awesome year ahead!! And May all your wishes come true!! Amen!
I am lucky to have you in my life!! :))

My sis loved this :):)
