Happy Birthday Bestest Sis :)

by - November 02, 2012

Hi Peeps!!!

It is my dearest and bestest sister's birthday!!
So i am Super Duper Glad :))

And what best than "surprising" her by making something special for her with all my love.

My sister loves cakes/pastries and chocolates. So in addition to getting her a cake, i thought to make something that can be preserved..well.. atleast for sometime :)

And that is when i decided to make a 3d paper cake for her :)

So... Abracadabra..

Here it is.. My Surprise Gift to my sis aka my bestest buddy!!

In a 3d- View

Lovely aint it??? :))

As always, the entire project is hand-made :).

In the process, i "Upcycled" a Cardbook box and converted into a "Cake- Look Alike"  as below.. LOL :))

For the icing of the cake and the decoration, I have made quilled roses out of hand-made paper, not to forget the chocolate roses too :) and added quilled leaves.
Added my sister's name in "chocolate", and also filled in few hand cuts miniature hearts and butterfly.
To give the pastry look, have also added "chocolate" quilling strips in the base and added the hand written sentiment - Happy Birthday :)

So deary Sis, here's Wishing you a very very very veryyyyyy Happy birthday!! God Bless and have an awesome year ahead!! And May all your wishes come true!! Amen!
I am lucky to have you in my life!! :))

My sis loved this :):)

Linking my project to the following challenges:

Looking forward to hear all you peep's feedback too!!

Cheers,
Nazneen
